Keep It Simple

Hi All,
When i was teaching Kung Fu,students would ask how to defend against someone grabbing your shirt with both hands and pushing you against a wall or something.
My reply was always do the simplest thing that comes to your mind .
Both of your attackers hands are full of your shirt, so you thumb both of his eyes, hammer fist his nose, plam both of his ears, knee or instep kick his groin. When you are in a stressful situation
your reaction should be automatic. In a real fight your technique does not have to look good it just has to work !!

Increase Your Punching Power

Hi All,
A few people have asked my to tell how to increase their punching power.

To punch with power is a combination of hand and body movement .
Your punching power really starts at your feet and travels up through your body
to your fist.
If you are throwing a right straight punch, you start by stepping forward with your right foot
as you do this you bring up your hands, (hands are open) now you must be close enough to punch through your target, your aim should be to the other side of the target. You close your hand at the very last moment before impact this propels your body weight forward,as you finish stepping bend your forward knee and drop your body weight and twist your hips into the direction of the punch and turn your back foot on to the ball, this tranfers all your body weight to your hand.

So you step, drop your body weight and twist at the waist, close your hand at the last moment and punch through the target.

A good way to practice and learn punching power is to study Bruce Lee's 1 in punch.
The body mechanics are perfect !

Technique of the Month -July 2007

Hi All,
Here is the technique for this month.

Opponent jabs at you with his left hand , his left foot is forward like a boxer.
You step to the right on a straight line with your right foot and strike his arm with a
left out block (moving your arm from your center out in a half circle) grab and hold
his forearm.Step forward toward him and strike with a right forearm to his ribs on his left side,
now let go of his arm and left roundhouse punch to his ribs (in front of his body),now right roundhouse punch to his left kidney (your palm facing down on this punch) now turn to your left and take a small step with your left foot and right side kick to the side of his left knee.

Pointers: When you take that small step with your left foot you slide your right foot till it
lines up with his left knee then do the sidekick.

If he punches with his left and puts his right foot forward (which alot of people do ) you just do a left sidekick to the back of his left knee, to finish.

Have Fun and Practice Safely !

Don't Defend, Attack !

Learn how to put any attacker down in seconds !
The basic principles in this report are used by many Elite troops all over the world.
By learning how to attack instead of defend you give yourself the advantage over anyone
stupid enough to attack you!
These methods are really very old. Don't pay hundreds of dollars for this information.
I've decided to release some of these closely guarded methods to you.

Through the years of training it became clear to me that there are certain basic lines of movement and what some people call the "offensive mind set" in Kung Fu and other martial arts.

The offensive mind set is really nothing new, but is not shown in a lot of self defense arts.

It is the way the techniques are set up that gives you the offensive mind set.

You practice the techniques until they become second nature and you practice

technique after technique .

Soon they will blend together in your head and it won't matter what you come up against

you'll have a learned response that is instant and deadly.

Kung Fu San Soo is a perfect example of how the offensive mind set works.

When someone throws a punch at you , your defense is to attack the arm with a strike and

by targeting certain parts of the arm, like where the nerves are.

Then you proceed to other vital targets on the body, throat, heart ,solar plexus, groin etc.

Now to apply the offensive techniques you have to know how to move in the right ways to set up the techniques.

The basic lines of movement are :

The Cross + Straight Lines

The Triangle V 45 Degree Angles

The Circle O Circular Movement

Knowing your safe distance from any opponent.

Here is an example of a offensive technique:

Say someone grabs your shirt with their left hand and is going to punch you with their right hand. Most people will try to get the hand that's grabbing them off. And they get hit !

Someone who is trained in the offensive mind set technique, will immediately grab the hand on their chest and hold it there as they step to the right on a 45 degree angle and strike the opponent in the throat with their left hand . By grabbing and holding the hand on your chest this takes a weapon away from the attacker, and restricts their movement,by stepping on a 45 degree angle to the right, this moves you away from the attackers right punch, striking to the throat, disables and stuns the opponent, setting them up for other strikes. As you can see this is all offense. And these principles can work in most martial arts.

I have written a report on how to apply the offensive -defense.
My booklet : The use of Lines,Angles and Circles in Hand to Hand Combat.
Comes:

Complete with 12 techniques to help you learn defense by offense.
These techniques will evolve into many techniques as you mix and match them.

It covers:

*The basic principles of movement.

*How to know your safe distance.

*Timing and closing the distance on your opponent to give you the advantage.

*Plus personal help from me via email

Myself and many others have used these principles in real fights , not just in the gym.

Believe me they work !!

But just like anything else you have to work at it, that means practice, practice ,practice !!

If you would like the report, send $8.75 US. by Paypal to :jgid2001@yahoo.com
